The Heart Shaped Box
The heart-shaped box was custom made for a client's engagement ring. It was inspired by the locket from the movie The Illusionist.
As requested by the client, both sides of the box feature penguins done in marquetry and inlaid into the solid wood. When the box is twisted to form a heart the penguins face each other. The top slides off to reveal a secret compartment, perfect for a small ring.
