Just barely stands on its own.
There's not much to say in this one. It was pretty trashed but had been a decent little desk at some point long ago. Someone had attempted a restoration in the past but hadn't gotten very far. But the desk was made of solid birch and was nicely proportioned. So I suggested that it be painted and glued back together solidly. Here are some pictures of the process...
Missing ornament was recarved.
Wobbly legs. Repaired and glued back on.
All is well and the desk is solid once more. Here's how it looks after being painted outside and stained and finished inside.
